Costa Rica Finca San Luis
Costa Rica Finca San Luis
Finca San Luis and the La Montaña de Tarrazu Micromill in Costa Rica is a family business, overseen by two sisters, Daniela and Tatiana Gutierrez, having taken over day-to-day operations from their father, Jorge.
As a result, Daniela handles day-to-day operations and is passionate about specialty coffee. She has learned about barista skills as well as roasting and enjoys drinking the coffees that La Montaña produces. Meanwhile, the sisters' father is still involved at the farm, but the sisters are working in the commercialization of the coffee.
Jorge acquired his first farm 40 years ago, and he is still fascinated by coffee production. He has dedicated his whole life to growing coffee, and now his daughters are following in his footsteps. "Coffee for us is our way of life," says Daniela. "It is a job that we enjoy and that we are passionate about. Coffee is what we breathe and what we love to do."

Very rich, tastes beautiful, grinds perfectly in my espresso machine. I keep rotating trying other Tico beans, which are all good, but Finca San Luis keeps rising to the top. Great people, great coffee.
This is the second time I order it, great flavor.
I can't perceive all those flavors in the tasting notes but as just a regular coffee drinker I can attest this is sweet. Almost no acidity or bitterness. I don't yet get or appreciate acidity in coffee anyway so this is perfect.
I was under the impression that washed coffee tends to be more acidic, but this is even sweeter than the el cedral natural.
Love your coffees! So glad we switched to you for our home subscription.
Great!
