This is a very nice smooth coffee. I can taste the chocolate notes. I preferred a very dark dark roast which this roast is not.
But not everyone likes coffee as dark as I do (Santa Cruz Roasting Company Heart of Darkness). My winter holiday guests are very very happy with this brew. Which makes me very very happy.
Made it traditional in a pot and it was excellent- everyone loved it
Very rich, tastes beautiful, grinds perfectly in my espresso machine. I keep rotating trying other Tico beans, which are all good, but Finca San Luis keeps rising to the top. Great people, great coffee.
Bought this in person after a tasting, an exceptional coffee. The honey aroma is so lovely and strong! Very unique
This is a marvelous product and I love the flavors in it. It's easy to make (just like regular pour-over coffee) but the spices and hint of sweetness make it a lovely treat to liven up your coffee routine. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
All the products at Tico Roasters are great. I chose this one for its low acid and it's one of my favorites for pour-over coffee. Beautiful flavor.
This was such a delightful coffee. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something medium with a tint of sweetness
I've been long buying this coffee time to time, but I've never had the La Minita as what I first tasted about 20 more years ago. It may be an environmental change? Or mass production?
Unfortunately, the coffee was not grounded coarse like I indicated.
I was not able to really determine the full tast
Tico’s Rialto espresso blend delivers a rich flavor that reminds me of being in a caffè in Italy. It’s full-bodied and smooth enough to drink straight, but it also makes outstanding milk drinks. This is the first time my cappuccino at home has matched the flavor of my favorite caffè in Turin.
If you like a medium roast espresso that delivers a full bodied shot with plenty of bright, juicy flavor, then this is a perfect option!
It’s lovely straight and particularly nice in cold drinks like espresso tonics.
Good but not great. Not as full bodies as the best Swiss Water Decaf out there.
Love the balanced profile on this espresso. I visited Tico randomly on a weekday afternoon and the staff there were kind enough to brew me a latte then show me the blend they used to make it. I knew I had to have it then and there!!
Interestingly, I've had better experience pressing this with a coarser grind: 4-5 on a Baratza Sette. YMMV!
